New Jersey Pickerel Fishing (3-31-16)

On March 31st, 2016 I did a little bit of fishing at a small lake in New Jersey. I caught one small Pickerel on a Mepps Agalia in-line spinner, on my first cast.

Miami Fishing!!! (3-28-16)

So, today was a very exciting day! I caught my first fish of 2016, and even better, it was a new species! I caught a peacock bass, which was really a beautiful fish. So, I am sorry that I have not been keeping you guys updated, as I have been in Europe for awhile! Actually, the only reason for me being in Miami was because that was where one of our planes got in and we had to stay the night. However, I have this whole upcoming week off and plan to do a lot of fishing! Also, trout season opens Saturday!

Delaware River Pier Fishing (1-31-16)

Today I went with my dad and our dog to the Delaware River. We first went on the new fishing pier for a little bit and then decided to go to the pier next to it, Pier 70.  After fishing for a while we put the rods away and headed down to Pier 53 (designed by my dad and his old company). I put the rods away because fishing was not allowed on Pier 53 (a bummer, considering that it would be a great spot). The weather was nice that evening which allowed my dad and I (and our dog) to have a great time.

Fairmount Dam Fishing (1-27-16)

On January 27th, 2016, I went to the Fairmount Dam. I had a decent session of around 2 hours. The only problem, I got skunked, again. I admit that I am kind of new to winter fishing, so, it is kinda my fault. But I look at it as, you live, you learn.

South Jersey Reservoir Exploring (1-17-16)

On January 17th, 2016, I went with my dad to go fish some reservoirs in New Jersey. We stayed for a couple of hours and ended up getting totally skunked. One of the lakes, Kirkwood Lake was a supposedly good place, but not for us. Yeah, we didn't even get a bite. I guess those are more of spring/summer spots. Well, at least it was fun!

Suburban Wissahickon Creek Fishing (1-10-16)

Today I went on a short fishing trip. I went to the Wissahickon Creek, however, I set up farther up the creek than I usually go, in the part of the creek that is outside of city limits. Since it was late in the afternoon I only had a little bit of time. I biked to the location with my tackle box  and one of my rods. I started off the trip pretty far up stream and started to go back downstream. The last spot that I went to was my main spot.
Throughout the 35-40 minutes of time with my line in the water I unfortunately did not catch anything. The water was rough and high due to recent rain. On the bright side, it was an enjoyable trip and I got to explore a place that I have not been to in a long time. Even though I did not catch anything today, this is still a great location. I have been to this spot before, in warmer weather and saw much more life. This part of the creek is also stocked with trout during the trout season. Below are some pictures from the trip.
