Winter Multispecies Fishing Cisco Park (Erdenheim, PA)

Before I discuss this fishing session, I want to point out that I have not been posting on this blog (obviously, my last post was over the summer), but I do want to start doing so. This will be especially doable because I am making fishing reports for each session, which is something new that I started doing this year.

Date: 2-26-17
Time: ≈9:30 am-10:45 am
Location: Hillcrest Pond, Cisco Park (Erdenheim, PA)
Water Type: Main pond and spillway
Weather: Sunny, ≈42°F-46°F (a cold front-the day before was close to 70°F)
Fish Caught: 1 Common Shiner, 1 Pumpkinseed, 1 Green Sunfish, 5 Pumpkinseed x Green Sunfish Hybrid
Bait/Lures Used: Small hook (size 12) with a split shot and a small piece of earthworm (in the main pond the same setup was used except with a whole earthworm)
Notes: There was rain the previous day, so the water was a little high and muddy. I tried the main pond because I heard that there were brown trout in there, but it was for a very short amount of time and without success. I quickly decided to just try the spillway for microfishing and ended up with a lot of fish. The past two weeks were unseasonably warm (around 60°F-70°F), but a cold front came in overnight. The local water temperatures were around 50°F this week.
